About the event
Several years ago we lost a friend George Lunn, a local fisherman. At the end of September there will be a spoken word tribute to him and people like him played over headphones for the public and three fishing chairs arranged on the spot where he spent a lot of time fishing.
I am looking for three local SE 16 artists to work individually or together to create a site-specific work responding to the themes of community, place and intergenerational friendships. We are looking for artist or makers to adapt or embellish the chairs. Each artist will be given £300, £50 for materials, a collapsible fishing chair and an exhibition of their work over the course of two weekends on Greenland Dock.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or would like a copy of the Audio.
